Assistant Medical Director of the 2010 U.S. Figure Skating Championships
When the U.S. Figure Skating Championships descends upon Spokane in January 2010 you’ll find Alisa Hideg, MD, overseeing the Group Health medical team who are providing care for the more than 1,500 athletes, coaches, officials and staff who will participate in the two week event.
Dr. Hideg is a family medicine physician at Group Health’s Riverfront Medical Center in Spokane. She’s lived in Spokane for six years and travels overseas doing medical relief work in several countries.
Dr. Hideg received her biology degree from Point Loma Nazarene College in San Diego, Calif. and graduated with honors from Loma Linda University Medical School in Loma Linda, Calif. She completed her residency in Family Medicine with the University of Washington School of Medicine in Seattle.
Dr. Hideg is faculty at the University of Washington School of Medicine in Family Medicine (teaching one resident or student at a time in the Group Health clinic setting) and a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Physicians.
Dr. Hideg will serve as the assistant medical director for the 2010 US Figure Skating Championships in Spokane. When not seeing patients, she is with her husband and young daughter enjoying surfing and wakeboarding in the summer and ice skating, skiing, or snowboarding during the winter.
