We've signed an agreement to be acquired by Kaiser Permanente, a nationally recognized, nonprofit health care leader, and one that shares our values and focus on members' total health.
To create our shared future, we are in the midst of an approval process. This past March, Group Health members voted to approve the resolution that supports Kaiser Permanente's acquisition of Group Health. The next steps in the process involve regulatory reviews, including Washington's Office of the Insurance Commissioner, which will take some time to complete.
If approved, Kaiser Permanente and Group Health will join forces to make high-quality affordable care and coverage available to even more people. You can continue to rely on our outstanding physicians and care teams, and you can also look forward to improvements and resources focused on serving the people of Washington and creating healthier communities across the state.
We know you probably have questions. The resources below provide more information, help clarify the process that will take place, and explain the role our voting members play in the decision.
